Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has become the first operator in Asia Pacific to achieve OCP Ready™ v2 for Hyperscale certification, awarded by the Open Compute Project (OCP) Foundation. The certification covers three of PDG’s flagship AI-ready campuses — TY1 in Greater Tokyo, JH1 in Johor, and MU1 in Mumbai — making them the first facilities in their respective countries to earn this distinction.

The milestone underscores PDG’s leadership in AI and hyperscale infrastructure, setting new benchmarks for power, cooling, and sustainability across Asia’s fast-growing digital economies.

Certified Campuses

MU1 (Mumbai, India): 150MW across five buildings; powered by renewable energy; achieved IGBC Platinum certification, Mumbai’s first.

TY1 (Tokyo, Japan): 96MW campus in Saitama City; supports 140kW+ per rack power densities; features liquid cooling; recently earned NVIDIA DGX-Ready certification.

JH1 (Johor, Malaysia): 170MW campus at Sedenak Tech Park; spans three buildings; one of Southeast Asia’s largest AI-ready data centers.

The OCP Ready™ v2 for Hyperscale program sets community-driven standards for facilities supporting hyperscale workloads. It covers power, cooling, logistics, connectivity, and access — providing hyperscalers with pre-qualified sites that accelerate time-to-market.

  • AI-Ready: PDG campuses engineered for liquid cooling and high-density racks.
  • Sustainability: Renewable power and green certifications align with enterprise ESG goals.
  • Regional Leadership: First certifications in Japan, Malaysia, and India position PDG as a trusted hyperscale partner in Asia Pacific.

Industry Voices

  • Varoon Raghavan, COO & Co-founder, PDG: “The demands of AI and hyperscale computing are redefining digital infrastructure, and PDG is at the forefront with TY1, JH1, and MU1 certified for hyperscale.”
  • George Tchaparian, CEO, OCP: “PDG’s achievement reflects a strong commitment to OCP’s best practices and provides hyperscalers with trusted, high-quality options in strategic APAC markets.”

Strategic Implications

With AI, hyperscale, and multi-cloud deployments accelerating, PDG’s OCP Ready™ v2 certification reinforces its ability to deliver:

  • Hyperscale-grade colocation with verified readiness
  • Trusted infrastructure for global hyperscalers deploying in Asia
  • Faster time-to-market through pre-qualified, standards-based facilities

All three campuses are now officially listed on the OCP Marketplace as certified OCP Ready™ v2 for Hyperscale facilities.
